Welcome

I'm Lisa Columbo, LCSW

Are you wondering how you got here? Or maybe you have some ideas but can’t seem to figure out how to find a different path forward. Perhaps you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression or PTSD; difficulties in relationships or parenting; or navigating a complicated transition. My compliments, you’re doing something about it and are in the right place. I’d be honored for you to consider joining with me to make the meaningful changes you desire. Others have shared that they appreciate my calm easy presence, ability to earn their trust, understanding of them, and ability to help them understand themselves.

We will use evidence-based tools that can help you feel better in the more immediate moments through understanding and managing your autonomic nervous system. The power of a safe, therapeutic relationship will be the underlying healing aspect our journey together. My practice generally marries these two theories using various modalities that match what you bring, who you are, and what you are hoping to accomplish in therapy.

I know, all that might sound a little highfalutin…I really talk like a “regular” person, am playful when it seems right, and am down to earth. This is what it boils down to: You bring your stuff and share it with me however feels right to you and I will bring what I know in a way that works for you. We will work together to find ways to help you manage difficult moments while pursuing an understanding of yourself, developing healthier relationships, and inner healing.
